Brewing Success

This week, we are proudly celebrating the achievements of 10 dedicated participants who successfully completed the GenU C.A.F.E course at our Capalaba office. This hands-on training program provided them with essential hospitality skills, opening doors to new employment opportunities in the food and beverage industry.

Throughout the course, participants gained accredited qualifications in:

• Use hygienic practices for food safety
• Process financial transactions
• Prepare and serve espresso coffee

They also earned Digital Badges in Sandwich Making and Barista Basics, demonstrating their expertise in key hospitality skills.

Over the duration of the program, each participant honed their barista skills by crafting more than 30 coffees each, perfecting everything from bean selection to milk texturizing and espresso extraction. In addition, they developed hands-on experience in:

• Setting up and maintaining a coffee workstation
• Food preparation and safe handling practices
• Processing EFTPOS transactions and managing money
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining service standards

This program has not only boosted their confidence but has also provided them with real-world experience to help them step into the workforce.
