Youth Connections

Youth Connections is funded by the Commonwealth of Australia as represented by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

This network supports all young people aged 13 to 19 in their transition through school and onto further study, training or work.

Workways is a Youth Connections provider

Our role is a varied one and covers the following criteria

• To work closely with local schools and other organisations
• To assist young people who are most at risk of leaving school before completing year 12
• To support those who have left school within the last 12 months but not completed year 12

We know plenty of things can get in the way of a young person’s education but we can give personalised assistance to help work through these problems and find real solutions.

Youth Connections supported 374 youth in the East Gippsland, Latrobe and North East regions of Victoria for 2007.

Our team works with young people both in and out of school to gain a pathway that is right for them.
