Intensive Support Customised Assistance

If you have been unemployed for at least 12 months or are in need of individually tailored assistance to help you find work, you may be eligible for Customised Assistance.

Customised Assistance is a six month program and involves:

  • one on one services to address any barriers to employment
  • an initial detailed assessment of your capabilities against potential opportunities available within the local labour market
  • assistance with intensive job search
  • vocational training tailored to job opportunities
  • assistance with finding work experience relevant to your job prospects
  • career guidance
  • work preparation activities

Employment Preparation

If you are over 50 years old, a parent or a carer and you are looking to return to the workforce we may be able to help you.

Employment Preparation is a program designed to assist and support job seekers make a smooth transition back to work. We provide

  • assessment of your individual needs
  • one on one advice and mentoring
  • advice on how to move forward and make your dreams a reality.
  • assistance with organised training & skills development
  • development of Professional Resume
  • $300 available to meet training & job seeking needs
  • career planning advice
  • assistance with organising childcare
  • access to listed job vacancies - local, state or national
  • use of computers, internet, phone, fax and photocopier
The program is delivered over three or six months depending on the job seekers circumstances and it is absolutely FREE of charge.

Employment Service to Aged Pensioners

If you are retired from the workforce and accepting an aged pension you can still undertake some part-time work.

Employment Service for Aged Pensioners is a program made available to jobseekers who are requiring some assistance to find work. This involves

  • One on one Employment Preparation and Job Search Training
  • Up to 12 months on the Program available
  • $500 available to meet training and job seeking needs (conditions apply)
  • access to listed vacancies locally, state or national
  • use of computers, internet, phone, fax and photocopier
